Create AI voice messages or upload your own audio in your EcomAudio account, assign it to your homepage or to individual WooCommerce products, and this plugin plays it on the matching page. Playback is always tap-to-play — nothing autoplays, and no audio starts without a shopper gesture. Features: * Homepage audio and per-product audio (WooCommerce) — per-product audio requires a paid EcomAudio plan * Tap-to-play floating player — zero autoplay * Position and enable/disable controls in Settings EcomAudio * Lightweight vanilla-JavaScript widget, loaded only on the pages that use it * No audio files stored in WordPress — everything is served from your EcomAudio account You need a free EcomAudio account and an API key to use this plugin. See the FAQ. ### External services This plugin connects your storefront to EcomAudio, a third-party service, so the audio player can load its configuration and record anonymous play counts. When a visitor loads your homepage or a WooCommerce product page (and the widget is enabled with a valid API key), the widget in the visitor’s browser contacts EcomAudio at `https://app.ecomaudio.com/api/v1`: * **Configuration request** — sends the page key (`home` or `product:{id}`) and your API key, and receives the widget settings plus a temporary, signed audio URL. * **Play event** — when a visitor taps play, the widget sends an anonymous play event (the audio identifier, a page context, and your API key). No personal data, cookies, or IP-based identifiers are sent by the plugin. Storefront requests are made from the visitor’s browser. The only server-side call this plugin makes is in your WordPress admin: when you save the settings or click“ Test connection”, it contacts the same EcomAudio endpoint once to verify that your API key is valid, so the settings page can show a clear connected / not-recognized status. Upload the `ecomaudio` folder to `/wp-content/plugins/`, or install the plugin through the Plugins screen in WordPress. 2. Activate the plugin through the Plugins screen. 3. Go to Settings EcomAudio. 4. Paste your EcomAudio API key, tick “Enable widget”, choose a position, and save. ## Preguntas frecuentes ### Where do I get an API key? Sign up for a free account at https://app.ecomaudio.com/signup — an API key is issued to your site automatically when you sign up. Copy it from your EcomAudio dashboard and paste it into Settings EcomAudio. ### Does the plugin store audio in WordPress? No. Audio is created and stored in your EcomAudio account. The widget loads audio directly in the shopper’s browser using a temporary signed URL. ### Which pages show the player? Your homepage (front page) and WooCommerce single-product pages. No other pages load the widget. ### Does it require WooCommerce? WooCommerce is only required for per-product audio.
